Mission: Who We Are

Speak Up exists to transform the world on behalf of the poor.

Our mission is to create a new reality for girls in poverty.

We will pursue this mission by building an international network of people and organizations running Girls Education Programs, safe homes for girls, and other programs to defend and empower girls in poverty.

Goals: What We Do

We advocate for girls in poverty in three inter-connected ways:

EDUCATION

We run a Girls Education Program which sponsors girls in poverty to stay in school and on the path to success. We want to help transform the way the world thinks about poor girls, and to ensure that girls in poverty are free to live up to their fullest potential. Our long-term goal is to help thousands of girls in poverty to finish their education, get professional training, then return to serve their community and country as servants to the poor. From girls in poverty to themselves being advocates for the poor!

HOMES

We seek to catalyze and fund safe homes for girls who are born into brothels, rescued from trafficking, or otherwise at risk of exploitation and abuse. Please contact us if you are interested in partnering with us in funding or operating a home for at-risk girls.

JUSTICE

We investigate human rights abuses and do practical casework for the poor, particularly working on cases of violence and abuse against girls in poverty.  We partner with the justice system and local police to handle cases of illegal child marriage, kidnapping and rape, and other forms of sexual abuse and harassment.

Children of One Planet

Children of One Planet is a non-profit organization that helps orphaned children around the world. Children of One Planet is dedicated to assisting young girls who are victims of sex trafficking  around the world. INTERNATIONAL RESOURCES FOR VICTIMS AND SURVIVORS

Students Against Child Trafficking, International

We are a  Christ-centered organization dedicated to creating a safer world for all  children.

Operation Underground Rescue

O.U.R. has gathered the world's experts in extraction operations and in anti-child trafficking efforts to bring an end to child  slavery. O.U.R.'s Ops Team consists of former CIA, past and current law  enforcement, and highly skilled operatives that lead coordinated  identification and extraction efforts. These operations are always in  conjunction with law enforcement throughout the world.

Mary Queen of Heaven Missionaries

The Mary Queen of Heaven Missionaries was established to address the cruelest result of impoverishment in the Philippines. Young girls being forced into the sex trafficking trade due to poverty. Girls ages 8 to 15 are locked in rooms and exposed to rape, diseases and murder. Many die quite young before they even have a chance to live. Through perfect love and charity, the determined nuns of MQHM have developed a two-fold plan to combat these atrocities: RESCUE and EDUCATION

Not for Sale

Nearly everything we consume — clothing,  the batteries in our cell phones, the fish we eat — has forced labor  and exploitation hidden somewhere inside its production, with big  repercussions on local communities around the world, and the  environment. Not For Sale envisions and fights for a future without  exploitation and forced labor, where healthy people and the planet can  function together in harmony — in a world where no one is for sale. By  meeting the highest standards established by Charity Navigator, we have  attained the coveted 4-star rating – demonstrating our commitment to  full transparency and allowing you to give with confidence.
